100% of our funds and initiatives are dedicated to bringing happiness to hospice patients.

Due to the high cost of hospice care, fulfilling patients' wishes and meeting all the needs of patients/families in hospice care can be difficult. Needs and wishes are costly and time-consuming, and hospice centers are not equipped to fulfill many patient requests. To ease the burden of these requests on families and hospice centers, and to increase hospice patients' happiness and well-being, Bring Happiness for Hospice (BH4H) is dedicated to fulfilling hospice patients' wishes while in care.
We are currently partnered with Hock Family Pavilion, where BH4H members fulfill patients’ requests (e.g., delivering a book, a special meal, or a bouquet of flowers). We are also partnered with Liberty HomeCare & Hospice, delivering festive care packages to all of their patients in the Durham area.
Bring Happiness for Hospice is a government-recognized nonprofit organization, originally founded by our chapter at Duke University. As we expand, we seek to open chapters across the nation.

“While volunteering in hospice care, I noticed that the wishes of hospice patients and families are beyond the scope of traditional care. We all have unmet needs. We all have unfulfilled wishes. But at the end of our lives, the small needs and wishes matter more than ever.
As students and as volunteers, we can make a difference: We can fulfill these needs and grant these wishes, becoming more gratified individuals as we do so. The BH4H endeavor is an opportunity that benefits both volunteers and hospice patients nationwide. We strive for happiness one person, one basket, and one wish at a time.”
